Light

My interest in photography has made me more aware of light. Natural light, artificial light, full sun, or watery sunlight. Now this time of year I've been watching the shadows during the day and how long they still are, even at noon. I took many science and geography classes and I know how it works. We're 37 degrees north of the equator, I know that even on June 21st at noon we still have shadows, and this time of year we're considerably more tilted away from the sun, but it still fascinates me. I took this picture in our backyard a couple of days ago at about 11:30 in the morning--just look at my daughter's shadow!
